January 27

These words show us the abundance in Christ. He holds the fullness of deity, for "in him lives all the fullness of the Godhead." He embodies perfect humanity, revealing God in the flesh. In his blood lies the power to atone, for "the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin." His life offers justifying righteousness since "there's therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." His intercession is powerful, for "He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to intercede for them." His death secured victory, for in dying, he defeated the devil who held the power of death.

The effectiveness of his resurrection grants us a "living hope." He triumphed in ascension, "leading captivity captive and receiving gifts for men." There is a fullness of blessings in every form: grace to forgive, renew, sanctify, preserve, and perfect. There's always abundance: comfort in suffering and guidance in prosperity. A fullness of divine attributes like wisdom, power, and love, more than we can grasp or measure.

"It pleased the Father that in him all fullness should dwell." What fullness must there be if all receive from it! The stream always flows, yet the source remains as rich and full as ever. Come, believer, and have all your needs met. Ask greatly, and you'll receive greatly, for this "fulness" is inexhaustible and stored where all in need can access it: in Jesus, Immanuel — God with us.

Closing Prayer

Lord, as we begin today, help us place our full trust in You, even when our path is unclear. For Your glory, Amen.
