Daily Spurgeon
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what the Daily Spurgeon mobile app and website handle, where that information is kept, and how to remove it.
Last updated: August 20, 2026
No mobile accounts in version 1
Daily Spurgeon version 1 does not provide mobile account creation or sign-in. There is no Daily Spurgeon app account or account profile to delete.
Information kept on your device
The following app information stays on your device and is not synced to a Daily Spurgeon account:
- Journal entries and reflections
- Your reading streak and related progress
- App preferences, including appearance, font size, content choices, and reminder settings
- Cached devotional content used to improve loading and limited warm-offline use
Content and media delivery
The app uses an internet connection to request devotional and sermon text from Daily Spurgeon's Supabase database. Available devotional or sermon audio and other media are fetched from Supabase Storage.
Supabase and the network providers involved in delivering those requests may process standard technical request information needed to provide and secure the service. Daily Spurgeon does not attach your on-device journal, streak, or preferences to those content requests.
Newsletter email signup
We collect an email address only when you explicitly submit the newsletter signup form in the app or on the website. The signup also includes the morning and/or evening delivery choices you select.
- The email address and delivery preferences are stored in Supabase so the subscription can be managed.
- Resend is used to send confirmation and requested devotional emails.
- Newsletter signup is separate from the mobile app and does not create an app account.
Notifications and reminders
If you enable reminders, the app asks for notification permission, stores your selected reminder schedule on your device, and schedules the reminders locally. Notification platform services provided by Apple, Google, and Expo may process technical notification identifiers during setup, but Daily Spurgeon does not upload or retain your reminder schedule or push token in its backend in version 1.
Website analytics and support
- The Daily Spurgeon website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand general website usage. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and process standard browser, device, and interaction information under Google's terms.
- If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you include so we can respond to your request.
Retention and deletion
- On-device journal entries, streak data, preferences, reminder settings, and cached content remain until you delete or reset them, clear the app's storage, or delete the app.
- Newsletter email data remains until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Unsubscribing removes the newsletter subscriber record and its delivery preferences.
- Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain necessary records, and protect the service.
See our data deletion instructions for step-by-step options.
