It's both delightful and beneficial to notice God's hand in the lives of ancient believers. We see His goodness in delivering them, His mercy in pardoning them, and His faithfulness in keeping His promises. But wouldn't it be even more meaningful to see God's hand in our own lives? Shouldn't our own stories be just as full of God, His goodness, and truth? They are as much a testament to His faithfulness as the lives of believers before us.

We wrong our Lord by thinking He only performed mighty acts for those in the past while not doing the same for us now. Let's look at our own lives. Surely, we can find joy and moments that glorify God. Have you had no deliverances? Have you crossed no rivers with His support? Have you walked through fires unharmed? Have there been no blessings, no answers to your prayers? The God who granted Solomon his heart's desire, has He not listened to you?

The same God who satisfies us with good things, has He not filled your life with abundance? Have you not rested in green pastures or been led by still waters? God's goodness remains the same for us as it was long ago.

Let's turn His mercies into a song. Let us take thankfulness and praise, crafting them into a crown for Jesus. May our souls sing as joyfully as David's harp, praising the Lord whose mercy endures forever.

Closing Prayer

God, as we start this day, help us trust You fully, even when the path isn't clear. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
