"You're Christ's." You're his because the Father gave you to the Son. You're his because he paid for your salvation with his blood. You're his because you've dedicated yourself to him. You're his by relation, bearing his name and joining his family.
Live in a way that shows the world you're Jesus' servant, friend, and bride. When temptation comes, say, "I can't do this; I'm Christ's." Let your identity in him steer you away from sin. If sinful gain tempts you, remember you're Christ's and refuse it.
Facing challenges and dangers, stand firm knowing you belong to Christ. If you're surrounded by idleness, work with all your strength, and when exhaustion hits and you're tempted to pause, remember, "I can't stop, for I'm Christ's." If worldly pleasures try to lead you astray, respond, "They can't allure me; I'm Christ's." When God's work calls you, give generously, for you're Christ's.
Let your identity in Christ be known through your actions and words. Reflect his love and holiness so others can see you're his. Once, being Roman meant integrity. How much more should belonging to Christ motivate us to live holy lives? "I'm Christ's!"
Closing Prayer
Father, fill us with your love this morning, so we can share it freely. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
