February 19

Once someone finds Christ, they start reaching out to others. If you've truly tasted the sweetness of the Gospel, you won't keep it to yourself. True grace ends spiritual hoarding.

Andrew first went to his own brother Simon, then to others. Family has a strong pull on our first efforts. Andrew was wise to start with Simon. Some Christians hand out tracts to strangers but forget to share their faith at home, or they serve far away but neglect their own families.

You might not be called to evangelize a specific place, but you are called to care for your own family and friends. Let your faith start at home. Many businesses send their best products abroad. Christians shouldn't do that. Your words and actions should be good everywhere, but the best should be at home.

When Andrew found his brother, he didn't know how important Simon would become. Simon Peter, from what we know, was more influential than Andrew, yet Andrew brought him to Jesus. You might feel you lack talent, but you could lead someone to Christ who will become great in faith and service. You never know the potential within you. A simple word to a child might awaken a heart that will impact the Church profoundly someday. Andrew had two talents but found Peter. Go and do the same.

Closing Prayer

Father, as evening falls, help us trust You completely, even in uncertainty. In Jesus' name, Amen.
