March 1

Just as all rivers flow into the sea, all joys gather in our Beloved. His eyes shine brighter than the sun. His face is more beautiful than the finest flowers. No fragrance compares to his breath. Gems and pearls are worthless next to his value. Peter tells us Jesus is precious, but he couldn't capture how precious, nor can we measure the value of God's indescribable gift.

We can't fully describe how essential Jesus is to his people or how crucial he is for their happiness. Believer, haven't you found emptiness when he feels distant? The sun may shine, but without Christ, your world turns dark. It may be night, and without him, no star can offer any light.

What a barren place this world is without our Lord. If he hides from us, our garden withers, our fruits decay, the birds fall silent, and storms shatter our hopes. All the world's lights can't make day without the Sun of Righteousness. He is the soul of our soul, the light of our light, the life of our life.

Friend, what would you do without him as you face each day's battles? How would you rest at night, if there was no fellowship with Christ? Thankfully, he never leaves us to face life alone. Jesus never abandons his own. Let this thought make him even more precious.

Closing Prayer

Jesus, in this quiet moment, help us trust you fully, even when the path isn't clear. For your glory, Amen.
