March 9

The unmatched beauty of Jesus draws us in. He's not just to be admired, but deeply loved. Beyond being pleasant or fair, He is truly lovely. Believers can confidently affirm this, for He is the focus of their greatest love—a love grounded in His perfect character and complete beauty. Disciples of Jesus, reflect on His words and ask, "Aren't His words wonderfully sweet?" Do they not set your hearts on fire as He walks with you?

Worshippers of Immanuel, consider His thoughts and see how precious they are to you. Isn't your adoration filled with affection as you bow before His majestic presence? Each aspect of Him is enchanting, and His essence is so fragrant that all who love Him feel drawn to Him. Is there any part of His glorious being that isn’t captivating? Any office that fails to bind your heart?

Our love isn’t just set on His heart of love, but also on His arm of power. There isn't a part of Him our love doesn't embrace. We honor and cherish His entire being. In copying His life and character, we find no flaw. While other believers have imperfections and blemishes, He is only loveliness. Even the sun has its spots, and the earth its wilderness; we cannot love every part of the most beautiful things here. But Jesus is pure gold, light without shadow, glory without cloud. Truly, He is altogether lovely.

Closing Prayer

Lord, as this day begins, fill us with Your love so we can share it freely. In Jesus' name, Amen.
