March 12

There are no neutral positions in faith. We are either under the banner of Prince Immanuel, serving His cause, or we're serving the dark prince, Satan. To whom do you belong? Let me help you ponder this. Have you been born again? If so, you belong to Christ. Without the new birth, you cannot be His. Who do you trust? Believers in Jesus are God's children. Whose work are you doing? Service to a master reveals who your lord is. What company do you keep? If you belong to Jesus, you'll be with those who bear the cross. Birds of a feather flock together. What topics fill your conversations? Are they heavenly or earthly? What have you learned from your Master? Servants learn much from their master. If you've been with Jesus, others will recognize it, as they did with Peter and John: "They took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus." Ask yourself, "To whom do I belong?" Answer honestly before you rest tonight. If you aren't Christ's, you're in a hard service. Leave your cruel master!

Join the service of the Lord of Love and you'll find a blessed life. If you're Christ's, I urge you to do four things. You belong to Jesus: obey Him; let His word guide you. You belong to the Beloved: love Him completely. You belong to the Son of God: trust Him; rest only in Him. You belong to the King of kings: stand firm in Him. Then, without any mark on your brow, everyone will know to whom you belong.

Closing Prayer

Father, as evening comes, help us to trust You fully, even when the path isn't clear. In Jesus' name, Amen.
