When we're blessed to partake in the bread Jesus offers, we find ourselves, like Ruth, fully satisfied. With Jesus as our host, no one leaves hungry. Our minds are filled with His precious truths, our hearts content with Jesus as our greatest love, and our hopes secure in Him. Our greatest desire is to know Christ and be found in Him. Jesus calms our conscience, strengthens our belief, fills our memory with His past works, and gives us visions of what He will do.
Just as Ruth was satisfied and had leftovers, we experience the same. We've tried to grasp all of Christ, but there's always more. We feast at His table and realize no finite meal can fill us like His infinite grace. Our sins are washed away, and His grace overflows. His Word holds treasures we've yet to discover, and there are deeper graces we haven’t reached. We, like the disciples, have much left to learn from Him. Each gathering with Christ leaves us with spiritual abundance. Let's celebrate the generosity of our glorious Savior.
Closing Prayer
Lord, as we end this day, anchor our hope in Your unchanging promises. In Jesus' name, Amen.
