April 10

Facing the storm and darkness with the threat of shipwreck, the crew was in despair. Yet, one man remained calm and his words brought reassurance. Paul, despite being just a Jewish prisoner, boldly said, "Sirs, be of good cheer." His confidence surpassed that of seasoned Roman soldiers and sailors. Paul had a secret Friend who sustained him.

God sent an angel to comfort him, giving him the peace he needed. When we fear the Lord, we can expect His help when things seem bleak. Angels aren't blocked by storms or darkness. They gladly come to aid the lowest of God's children.

If we rarely sense angelic help in calm times, we can expect it in our storms. Friends might leave us in hardship, but heavenly assistance will increase. Empowered by love’s messages from God, we find strength for great deeds. Are you troubled now?

Ask for special help. Jesus is the angel of the covenant, and He will not refuse His presence if earnestly sought. His presence brings joy to those who've experienced God’s comfort in their storms, when anchors failed and danger was near. "O angel of my God, be near. Amid the darkness, calm my fear. The sea roars wildly, but Your presence, Lord, comforts me."

Closing Prayer

Jesus, in this quiet moment, help us trust You fully, even when the path isn't clear. In Your name, Amen.
