It is always well with the righteous. If scripture had specified, "Say to the righteous, it's well in prosperity," we would be grateful, as prosperity is a perilous time and being guarded against its traps is a gift from heaven. Or if it said, "It's well under persecution," we would find strength in that promise, as persecution is tough to endure. But when no time is mentioned, all times are included. God's promises always mean that. From the year's beginning to its end, from evening's shadows to the morning light, in every situation, it will be well with the righteous. It is so well with him that nothing could be better: he is well fed on the body and blood of Jesus; he is well clothed in Christ's righteousness; he lives in God, married to Christ; God is his Shepherd; heaven is his inheritance. It is well by divine authority, for God himself says so. Beloved, if God declares all is well, nothing can change that.
Thank God for a faith that trusts Him even when others oppose. Scripture says, it is always well with you, the righteous one. If you cannot see it, let God's word replace your sight. Trust His word over your eyes and feelings. Those whom God blesses are truly blessed, and what He declares is true and firm.
Closing Prayer
Father, as evening comes, help us trust You fully, even when the path isn't clear. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
