We often neglect the spiritual blessings God gives us, but even more, we overlook God himself. Though He is "our own God," we seldom turn to Him or seek His counsel. How often do we go through our days without His guidance?

In our troubles, we try to carry our burdens alone instead of handing them to the Lord, who promises to sustain us. The Lord invites us, saying, "I'm yours. Come and make use of Me." He welcomes us to come to Him freely. If we don't, it's our own fault. With such a friend by your side, draw from His strength daily.

Don't feel want while you have God to rely on. Don't fear or falter when God's help is near. Go to Him for whatever you need. He is all-sufficient. Learn to make God your everything. He can provide all you lack or, even better, be everything you need. Make use of your God.

Turn to Him in prayer. Go to Him often simply because He is your God. Don't overlook such a privilege. Run to Him and share your every need.

Trust Him constantly by faith. When darkness surrounds you, let God be your "sun." When enemies threaten, find safety in your "shield." If you're lost in life's confusion, He is your "guide." Wherever you are, remember God is exactly what you need.​
