May 12

Jacob trembled at the thought of leaving his homeland and living among strangers. It was a new and likely challenging journey. Who wouldn't feel anxious entering a foreign land? Yet the path was clearly laid out for him by God, so Jacob decided to go. Believers often find themselves in untested waters. In times like these, they should follow Jacob's example: pray and seek God's guidance.

Don't make a move without first seeking God's blessing. With Him by your side, you'll find strength and help. How comforting it is to know God is with us in every step, even in our lowest moments. His love shines brightly wherever we go. We can move confidently to any place where God promises His presence; even the darkest valleys are illuminated by this hope.

With faith in God, believers will receive the same promise Jacob did. They'll be lifted from life's troubles and even from death itself. Jacob's descendants eventually left Egypt, just as all faithful believers will pass safely through life's trials and death's fears. Let's have the same confidence Jacob had.

"Fear not," God says, encouraging those He calls to new journeys. His presence dispels all fears. Without Him, we'd hesitate; with His command, we must move. Go forward without fear, trusting in God.

Closing Prayer

God, as we end this day, help us trust You fully, even when the path isn't clear. For Your glory, Amen.
