May 16

Our Lord Jesus is always giving, never withdrawing His hand for even a moment. As long as there is a vessel of grace not yet filled, the oil continues to flow. He is the ever-shining sun, manna constantly falling around the camp, and a rock in the desert pouring out streams of life from His side. His grace is a constant rain, His bounty an ever-flowing river, and His love an overflowing well. Just as the King lives forever, His grace never fails.

Every day, we gather His fruit, and His branches bend down with new mercies. Each day is a feast in His kingdom. Who has ever left His door unblessed or risen from His table unsatisfied?

His mercies are new every morning and fresh each evening. Who can count His benefits or the list of His bounties? Each moment follows a myriad of mercies. Time's wings are adorned with His kindness and love.

Time's river carries the gold of His favor from eternity's mountains. The stars are mere heralds of a vast host of blessings. Can anyone count the dust of His gifts or the measure of His mercies? How can my soul not lift Him up who daily loads us with benefits and pours out loving-kindness?

Oh, that my praise were as constant as His bounty! Silent tongue, how can you remain still? Wake up, lest I call you a shame instead of glory. "Awake, psaltery and harp: I will awaken early."

Closing Prayer

Father, as the morning unfolds, help us trust You completely, even when the way ahead isn't clear. In Jesus' name, Amen.
