"Sanctified in Christ Jesus." 1 Corinthians 1:2. "Through being made holy by the Spirit." 1 Peter 1:2. Notice the unity of the Trinity in all their gracious acts. Some believers mistakenly show preference among the Trinity, seeing Jesus as embodying all that is lovely and gracious, while the Father is viewed as only stern and just. This view is as flawed as elevating the Father's decree and the Son's atonement above the Spirit's work.

In grace, the Trinity doesn't work separately. They are united in both their actions and essence. Their love for the chosen is one, and in all their works, they're undivided. This is especially true in the work of making us holy.

While being made holy may rightly be seen as the Spirit's work, don't exclude the Father and the Son from it. Holiness is the work of the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. God says, "Let's make man in our image," and we're "his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works." Understand how highly God values true holiness since the Trinity works together to create a Church without blemish. As a believer, you must also value holiness—life purity and godly conversation. Treasure Christ's blood as your hope's foundation, but never dismiss the Spirit's work, which qualifies you for the inheritance of the saints. Today, live in a way that shows the work of the Triune God within you.

Closing Prayer

Father, as this day begins, help us to trust You completely, even when the path isn't clear. For Your glory, Amen.
