August 3

Jesus was on His way to Jairus's house to raise his daughter. Yet His overflowing goodness led Him to perform another miracle on the way. While one miracle was still unfolding, another act of mercy was completed. We often focus on one task at a time, fearing distractions. If we're rushing to save a friend, we can't spare our energy elsewhere.

A tree bears one kind of fruit, and a person fulfills their own calling. But Jesus has no limits. His grace is boundless, like the sun shining with kindness as it moves across the sky. He's a swift arrow of love, reaching His purpose and blessing everything in His path.

Grace continuously flows from Jesus like fragrance from flowers or water from a spring. This truth is so encouraging! If Jesus heals the sick and blesses the needy so freely, then don't hesitate to come to Him. Don't hold back in asking, for He gives abundantly.

Listen closely to His word now and always, so Jesus speaks to your heart. Go where He can be found, seeking His blessing. If He is present to heal, won't He heal you too? He's always near to those who need Him.

And don't you need Him? He knows your need. Son of David, look upon the distress before You and make the one who seeks You whole.

Closing Prayer

Lord, as night falls, help us trust in Your ways, even when we can't see clearly. In Jesus' name, Amen.
