"I've seen his ways, and will heal him." Isaiah 57:18. Only God can heal our spiritual sickness. While men may aid in healing physical diseases, the true power and virtue come from God. Spiritual ailments belong to the Lord alone; He declares, "I kill and I make alive, I wound and I heal." One of His names is Jehovah-Rophi, meaning the Lord who heals. "I'll heal you of your wounds," is a promise only the eternal God can make.

This is why the psalmist cried, "Lord, heal me, for my bones are vexed," and again, "Heal my heart, for I've sinned against you." The faithful praise God, declaring, "He heals all our diseases." The Creator of man can restore man. Jesus, in whom "lives all the fullness of the Godhead bodily," is our comfort. Whatever your heart's disease, He can heal. If He is God, His power knows no limit.

Come with your blind eyes, limping steps, weak hands, boiling anger, or trembling despair. Come as you are, for the God who heals is ready. No one can stop the healing power from Jesus. Legions of devils have acknowledged His power, and He has never failed. All His patients have been healed, and you can be too, if you trust in Him tonight.

Closing Prayer

Lord, as this day ends, help us fully trust You, even when our path is not clear. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
