Jesus was the leader on the sea that night, and his presence kept everyone safe. It's good to be with Jesus, even in a small boat. Sailing with him doesn't guarantee calm waters; even the ship he was on faced storms. We shouldn't expect a smooth journey either. If we're with Jesus, we must accept the challenges he faces, and when the sea is rough for him, it will be rough for us too.
Like him, we'll reach our destination through storms and waves. On that stormy night on Galilee, fear gripped every heart. When human help failed, Jesus woke up and calmed the storm with a word. All the boats found peace through him.
Jesus is our guide at sea. There may be sorrow, but with him, joy remains. Let's make Jesus our anchor, our guide, and our shelter. Follow his Church, stay close to her mission, and support her leaders. Jesus is our focus. Let's follow him, pay attention to his directions, and not fear when he's near.
No ship in his care will be lost; Jesus, the Captain, will safely steer every vessel to its haven. By faith, let's set sail today with Jesus into life's trials. The winds may be fierce, but they listen to him. So let faith bring us peace within. He is always with us in the storm, and we'll rejoice in him. His ship has reached the haven, and so will ours.
Closing Prayer
Lord, as this day begins, help us trust you fully, even when the path isn't clear. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
