October 1

We want to give Jesus everything we produce. Our hearts hold "all manner of pleasant fruits," both old and new, ready for our Beloved. In this season of abundance, let's take a moment to see what we have. We've grown new fruits.

We want to feel new life and joy and offer new prayers. We're making new commitments and taking new actions for Him. We've got old fruits too. Our first love is a special fruit, one Jesus delights in.

There's also our first faith, the simple trust that let us receive everything despite having nothing. Our joy when we first knew the Lord should be revived. We remember His promises. God has been so faithful!

In sickness, He comforted us. In troubled times, He sustained us. In trials, He delivered us, giving us many old fruits. We have countless mercies, more than we can count. We regret our old sins, yet we've repented, learning the value of His blood at the cross. Today, our fruits, both new and old, are for Jesus alone. Our best services are when Jesus is the sole focus, and His glory is our goal.

Let our fruits be reserved just for our Beloved and displayed only when He is with us, not for the world to see. Jesus, we guard this garden for You alone. Every good fruit from this soil, watered by Your sacrifice, is Yours, Beloved Jesus.

Closing Prayer

Father, help us trust You completely this morning, even when the way forward is unclear. In Jesus' name, Amen.
