October 10

Think about the word "faultless." We aren't there yet, but our Lord doesn't stop short of perfection in His love. We will reach that point. The Savior will keep us to the end and present us to Himself as "a glorious church, without spot or wrinkle, holy and without blemish." Every jewel in His crown is flawless. Every attendant at the Lamb's wedding is pure.

How will Jesus make us faultless? He will cleanse us in His blood, making us as fair as angels, dressed in His righteousness. This righteousness renders us faultless and perfect before God. We will be beyond blame or reproof in His sight. His law will not only find no fault but will be fulfilled in us. The Holy Spirit's work in us will be complete.

We will be so perfectly holy that no hint of sin remains. Our minds, memories, and wills—every part of us—will be free from evil. We will be holy as God is holy, dwelling forever in His presence. Believers will fit beautifully in heaven, matching the beauty of the place prepared for them.

Imagine the joy of that moment when the everlasting doors open for us, ready for our inheritance, among the believers in light. Sin is gone, Satan is shut out, temptation is past forever. Being "faultless" before God, this is heaven indeed! Let's be joyful now and practice the eternal songs of praise that will soon fill heaven's chorus, echoing the joy of David before the ark as we look forward to ecstasies at the throne.

Closing Prayer

Lord, as the day begins, help us trust You fully, even when the way seems unclear. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
