How much do you owe to the Lord? Has He forgiven your sins and covered you in righteousness? Has He set your feet on solid ground and prepared a place for you in heaven?

Has He written your name in His book of life? Given you uncountable blessings? Stored up mercies beyond our imagination? Then do something for Jesus that matches His love.

Don't just offer empty words to the Redeemer who died for you. When your Master returns, how will it feel if you admit you did nothing for Him and kept your love locked up? Such love is useless! Who values a love that doesn't lead to action?

"Open rebuke is better than secret love." Love that doesn't drive you to self-denial, generosity, heroism, or zeal? Think of His love for you. Does it stir your soul into action, clearing away worldliness and sin?

For Christ's sake, let His love ignite you. Let it lift you from earthly concerns, fill you with courage and speed in His service. Love should drive our service and strengthen our work. Stay firm in honoring God, persist with an unyielding determination, and let love for Jesus propel us heavenward.
