Jesus loves His people deeply, and every day He continues to wash their feet in a spiritual sense. He accepts their smallest acts, feels their greatest sorrows, hears their faintest wishes, and forgives every sin. He is both their servant and their Friend and Master. Jesus not only performs great deeds, but He also humbly serves His people, cleansing them with patience and tenderness.
He does this when He forgives our daily faults and sins. Last night, as you prayed, you confessed your unworthiness, and even now, you mourn falling into the same old sins. Yet, Jesus shows great patience. He listens, cleanses you again, and brings peace to your conscience. When Christ initially brings a sinner into God's family, it's an act of eternal love. His ongoing patience with our repeated mistakes is truly divine. While His daily cleansing brings us comfort, it should also make us more watchful and eager for holiness. Is that true for you?
Closing Prayer
Lord, as this day ends, fill us with Your love so we can share it freely. For Your glory, Amen.
