This blessed woman engaged her memory, her heart, and her mind. She remembered all these things, cherished them in her heart, and pondered them carefully. Let us do the same with what we've heard about Jesus and what He has done for us. May we preserve the memory of the heavenly bread we've tasted.
Let your memory hold everything you've felt, known, or believed about Christ. Keep your love for Him strong. Pour out your affection like precious ointment on His wounded feet. Keep your mind active about the Lord Jesus.
Think deeply about what you read. Don't skim the surface. Dive into the depths like a fish, not like a swallow that barely touches the water. Stay with your Lord. Don't let Him be just a fleeting presence. Hold Him close and say, "Abide with us, for the day is far spent." Embrace Him and don't let Him go. "Ponder" means to weigh, but who can weigh Christ? He weighs the mountains. If our understanding falls short, let our hearts reach out. If we can't fully grasp Him with our minds, embrace Him with our hearts.
Closing Prayer
Lord, as this day closes, help us trust You fully, even when the path isn't clear. In Jesus' name, Amen.
