April 21

Once despised and rejected, Jesus now sits at the right hand of God, honored as the Son. This position reflects majesty and favor. Jesus represents His people: His death gave them rest, His resurrection brought them liberty, and His seated glory brings them favor and dignity.

Christ's exaltation is the elevation and acceptance of all who belong to Him, for He is our head. His place at God's right hand means our souls are accepted. Saint, take comfort in this: you are free from condemnation. "Who can condemn those in Christ at God's right hand?"

The right hand signifies power. With Christ there, all power in heaven and earth is His. Who can stand against those whose Captain holds such power? Heart, what can harm you if Omnipotence helps you?

If you're shielded by the Almighty, what can defeat you? Rest secure. Jesus, your King, has crushed your enemies. Sin, death, and hell are conquered; you are safe in Him. "Jesus' name puts all foes to flight: the meek Lamb fights like a Lion. We overthrow hell's host through His blood, and in Him, we keep conquering."

Closing Prayer

Lord, as this day ends, fill us with Your love so we can share it freely. For Your glory, Amen.
