Christ pours out His goodness on His people through every age. Before time began, Jesus was God's chosen one, and we were chosen in Him from before the world's foundation. From eternity, He was the Father's beloved Son. In His grace, He has brought us into sonship through adoption and new birth, giving us the right to become children of God. The eternal covenant, secured by promise, is ours, providing strong comfort and assurance. Jesus has always had His eye on us.

We can be sure that nothing in God's plan works against His redeemed. We are betrothed to the Prince of Glory, a union that will be proclaimed to all creation. The wonder of God becoming human, with all its condescension and suffering, is ours. His agony, scourging, and crucifixion belong to us forever.

Every blessing from His perfect obedience, atonement, resurrection, and ascension is ours, given by Him. Our names rest on His heart, and He pleads for us before the throne. His rule over spiritual forces and His authority in heaven benefit those who trust Him. His majesty is at our service, just as His humility was. The One who suffered for us continues to give, now from His position of glory.
