The foundation of Christianity is that Christ has risen from the dead. If Christ didn't rise, our preaching is pointless, and our faith is meaningless—we're still trapped in our sins. Christ's divinity is proven by his resurrection, as he was declared to be the Son of God with power through it. If he hadn't risen, we could doubt his deity. Christ's rule depends on his resurrection because he died and rose to be Lord of both the living and the dead. Our justification, the covenant's blessing, is tied to his victory over death: he was delivered for our offenses and raised for our justification. Our regeneration also connects to his resurrection; we're born again to a living hope by it. Our future resurrection is guaranteed as well: if the Spirit that raised Jesus dwells in us, our bodies will be made alive as his was. If Christ didn't rise, we won't rise either. But since he did, those who have died in Christ will see God in their flesh. The theme of resurrection threads through all our blessings, from new birth to eternal glory, tying them together. How vital and joyous is this truth: "Now is Christ risen from the dead!" "The promise is fulfilled, redemption's work is done, justice with mercy reconciled, for God has raised his Son."

Closing Prayer

Lord Jesus, as a new day begins, help us trust You fully, even when the path isn't clear. In Your name, Amen.
