June 5

Noah was separated from the world by God's loving hand. The door of divine purpose stands between us and the world that opposes God. We're not part of the world, just as Jesus wasn't. We can't join in its sin or revelry, for our heavenly Father has set us apart.

Noah was shut in with God. When God said, "Come into the ark," He intended to stay there with Noah and his family. All believers dwell in God, and He in them. What joy to share in that communion with the Father, Son, and Spirit.

Let's heed the call, "Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors around you, hiding for a moment until the danger passes." Inside the ark was safety and peace; outside was ruin. Without Christ, we perish. In Him, we find complete safety.

Noah didn't want to leave the ark; those in Christ are secure forever. They're kept by eternal faithfulness, unable to be pulled away by evil. The Lord closes the door no one can open. In the last days, when He shuts the door, it will be too late for mere pretenders to enter. Lord, hold me close by Your grace.

Closing Prayer

Lord, as this day begins, help us trust You fully, even when the path isn't clear. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
