Take heart, poor lost sinner. You think you must not come to God because you feel vile. But every saint who has ever lived has felt that way too. If Job, Isaiah, and Paul all said, "I'm vile," why would you be ashamed to confess the same?
God's grace doesn't remove all sin from believers. How can you expect to do it on your own? If God loves His people while they're still flawed, do you really think your own failings will stop Him from loving you? Believe in Jesus, even if the world has cast you aside. Jesus calls you, just as you are.
"Not the righteous, but sinners, Jesus came to call." Right now, say, "You died for sinners; I'm a sinner, Lord Jesus, cleanse me with Your blood." Confess your sin and find pardon. If you sincerely say, "I'm vile, wash me," you'll be washed today. Cry out from your heart, "Just as I am, without one plea but that Your blood was shed for me, and You invite me to come to You, O Lamb of God, I come." If you do, you'll find all your sins pardoned. Though you woke up burdened with the weight of sin, you'll rest tonight accepted in the Beloved. Once clothed in rags of sin, you'll be dressed in a robe of righteousness and appear as pure as angels. Remember, now is the accepted time. If you believe in Him who justifies the ungodly, you're saved. May the Holy Spirit grant you faith in Him who welcomes the vilest.
Closing Prayer
Jesus, as dawn breaks, help us trust You fully, even when the path is unclear. For Your glory, Amen.
