Christians should never take unbelief lightly. It displeases God when we doubt His love, truth, or faithfulness. Why grieve Him by questioning His sustaining grace?

Every promise in God's Word assures that you'll never be forgotten or left to perish. "Can a woman forget her nursing child?" God asks, "Even if she could, I will not forget you." What value would there be in His promise that His kindness and peace will never leave you if it weren't true? Jesus said, "I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; no one can snatch them from my hand." The doctrines of grace assure us that not one of God's children will be lost.

If even one believer was abandoned, God's truth, power, and covenant would be questioned. Cast away fears that dishonor Him. Rise, dust yourself off, and wear your beautiful garments. It's sinful to doubt His promises that you will never perish. Let the eternal life in you show in joyful confidence. "The gospel lifts my heart: A faithful and unchanging God builds my hope on oaths, promises, and Christ's blood."

Closing Prayer

God, as we start this day, help us trust You fully, even when the path isn't clear. For Your glory, Amen.
