What a blessed challenge! How unanswerable it is. Every sin of God's chosen people was placed on the great Champion of our salvation and carried away through His atonement. There is no sin recorded against His people. God sees no sin in Jacob or Israel. They are justified in Christ forever.

When the guilt of sin was removed, so was its punishment. For the Christian, there's no punishment from God's hand, not even a frown of justice. A believer may face discipline from the Father, but God as Judge says, "I've absolved you. You're acquitted." There is no death sentence, in this life or beyond, for the Christian.

We are freed from the punishment and guilt of sin, and its power is broken. Sin may provoke us with constant battles, but it's a beaten foe for those in union with Jesus. There is no sin a Christian cannot overcome if they rely on God. Those in heaven have conquered through the Lamb's blood, and we can too.

No lust is too strong, no sin too deeply rooted. Through Christ’s power, we can overcome. Believe it, Christian. Your sin is condemned. It may struggle, but it's destined to die. God has marked it for destruction. Christ has crucified it, nailing it to His cross. Go now, put it to death, and live for His praise, for sin with all its guilt, shame, and fear, is gone. "Here’s pardon for past sins, no matter how dark. And, O my heart, with wonder see, there’s pardon for future sins too."

Closing Prayer

Lord, as this day closes, help us trust You fully, even when the path isn’t clear. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
