Many are the paths of the Lord that overflow with abundance. One such path is prayer. A believer who spends much time in prayer won't need to cry, "I'm spiritually starved." Those who keep their distance from the mercy seat end up like dry, parched fields. When you're close to God in prayer, you become strong and secure, even if happiness feels distant.

The closest place to heaven's gate is in God's presence. Spend much time alone with Him, and you'll find assurance. If your time with Jesus is minimal, your faith will be shallow, plagued with doubt and fear, lacking the joy of the Lord. The path of prayer is open to everyone, no matter your spiritual maturity. You're invited not because you're advanced, but simply because you are one of His. Make sure, friend, that you regularly engage in private devotion. Pray often, for that's how Elijah brought rain to a dry Israel.

Another path rich with blessings is the quiet walk of communion. Fellowship with Jesus is pure delight. Words can't express the peace of resting in His presence. Many Christians don't realize this beauty. They stay in the lowlands, rarely reaching the mountaintop. They don't embrace the full privilege of their faith. They see the sacrifice but don't participate fully. But you, dear reader, sit under the shadow of Jesus, reach for the branches of His tree. Let your beloved be like the apple tree among the trees of the forest, and you'll be satisfied with richness and abundance. Jesus, come and bring us Your salvation!

Closing Prayer

Lord, as this day begins, help us trust You fully, even when the path isn't clear. For Your glory, Amen.
