Sometimes, all the promises and doctrines in the Bible don't help unless God's grace applies them to us. We're thirsty, but too weak to reach the water. Like a wounded soldier who knows help is available but needs someone to carry him to the hospital, we too need God to bring healing to our souls.

Thankfully, the Spirit of truth takes what belongs to Jesus and shares it with us. Christ doesn't leave His comforts out of reach. He comes to us, bringing peace to our hearts. If you're weighed down by troubles tonight, remember that your Father doesn't leave you to dig through the Bible for comfort. He writes His promises on your heart, showing His love and easing your burdens through His Spirit.

God wipes away every tear from His people's eyes. The Good Samaritan didn't just offer oil and wine; he applied them to the wounds. Jesus doesn't just offer promises but fills us with their reality. The weary traveler isn't just strengthened to walk; God lifts him up.

What a glorious gospel! It provides for the helpless and comes to us even before we seek it. There's as much glory in His giving as in the gift itself. Blessed are those who have the Holy Spirit bringing Jesus to them.

Closing Prayer

Lord, in this quiet moment, anchor our hope in Your unchanging promises. We ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
