November 3

Prayers are immediately noticed in heaven. The moment Saul began to pray, the Lord heard him. There's comfort for the distressed soul that prays. Often, a broken-hearted person bends their knee and can only express their pain through sighs and tears. Yet, that groan brings heavenly music; that tear is caught by God and kept in His memory.

"You put my tears into your bottle" shows that God treasures them as they fall. Even if words fail, the Most High understands. A simple upward look or a tearful eye is a prayer. Tears are the jewels of heaven; sighs are part of the music in God's court. Don't think your weak and trembling prayer goes unnoticed. Jacob's ladder is high, but our prayers reach heaven with the help of the Angel of the covenant.

God not only hears prayer but loves to hear it. He doesn't regard proud words or worldly grandeur. But when there's sorrow, a quivering lip, a deep groan, or a repentant sigh, God listens. He records it in His memory, placing our prayers like rose petals in His book. When the book opens, a sweet fragrance will rise from it. "Faith asks no signal from the skies to show prayers are accepted. Our Priest is in His holy place, answering from the presence of God."

Closing Prayer

God, as we start this day, help us trust You fully, even when the path isn't clear. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
