November 6

When a believer feels low and sad, they often try to lift themselves by dwelling on fears. This approach only keeps them down. Doubts won't bring grace, just as chains won't help an eagle fly. It's not following rules that saves us; it's the freedom found in the gospel which restores a weary believer.

Fear doesn't draw us back to God. It's the love and welcome of Jesus that pulls us to Him. Are you longing for God this morning and feeling troubled because you don't feel His presence as you once did? Have you lost the joy of your faith and are praying, "Restore to me the joy of your salvation"? Do you feel barren, like dry land that isn't producing the fruit God hopes to see in you? Do you want to be more useful in the Church and the world?

This promise is for you: "I'll pour water on those who are thirsty." You'll receive the grace you need, fully satisfying your desires. Just as water refreshes the thirsty and brings life to the parched ground, God's grace will renew you and make you fruitful in His ways.

Every aspect of God's grace will be yours in abundance. You'll be drenched in it, like fields turned into pools by a swollen river. The dry land of your soul will become springs of living water.

Closing Prayer

Father, as we begin this day, help us trust You completely, even when our way forward isn't clear. We ask this in Christ's name, Amen.
