God, the eternal God, is our support at all times, especially when we're drowning in deep trouble. Sometimes, we feel the weight of our sins and find ourselves humbled before God, barely knowing how to pray because we feel so worthless. Yet, even at our worst, remember: beneath us are God's eternal arms. Sin may drag us down, but Christ's atonement is deeper still.
You might have sunk low, but never so low that God can't reach you because He saves to the uttermost. We can be overwhelmed by trials from outside, feeling like every support is gone. Yet still, God's eternal arms are beneath us. Even in such distress, His covenant grace encircles us. When facing inner turmoil and fierce battles, we can't fall so low that we are beyond God's reach. With His support, Satan's efforts are in vain. This assurance comforts any tired, earnest worker serving God.
This promise means strength for each day, grace for every need, and power for each task. When death comes, this promise endures. As we face the end, we can confidently say with David, "I'll fear no evil, for You are with me." We shall descend into the grave, but go no further, for God's eternal arms prevent any further fall. Throughout life and at its end, we are upheld by God's unwavering arms, for He never faints or grows weary.
Closing Prayer
God, as we start this day, help us trust You fully, even when the path isn't clear. We pray in Jesus' name, Amen.
