November 27

Could any word be sweeter than "forgiveness," when it reaches a guilty sinner's ear like jubilant music to a captive soul? Blessed be the hope of pardon that shines into our deepest despair. Can such sin as mine really be forgiven—completely, forever? Hell is my due as a sinner; escape is impossible while my sin remains—can this heavy guilt be lifted, the deep stain wiped clean?

Can the unbreakable walls of my prison be torn down, the locked doors opened? Jesus assures me I can be set free. How marvelous that atoning love not only makes pardon possible but guarantees it to those who rest in Jesus. I've placed my faith in the crucified Savior. Right now and forever, my sins are forgiven because of His suffering and death.

What joy! What peace to be completely pardoned! My soul dedicates everything to Him who, out of boundless love, became my surety, offering salvation through His blood. What an overflow of grace is found in complete forgiveness!

To be forgiven at all, to be forgiven fully, freely, and forever—it's a miracle. As I consider the weight of my sins, the precious blood that washed them away, and the grace that assured my pardon, I'm filled with awe and worship. I kneel before the throne that forgives me, cling to the cross that saves me, and follow the Incarnate God who this night has made me a pardoned soul.

Closing Prayer

Lord, as this day ends, help us trust You completely even when we don't see the way ahead. For Your glory, Amen.
