The prophet saw four intimidating horns in his vision, pushing and crushing the strongest. He asked, "What are these?" and learned they represented the powers that scattered Israel. These horns symbolized the forces oppressing God's church, coming from all directions.
The prophet might have felt fear, but then four carpenters appeared. "What shall these do?" he asked. These carpenters were the ones God sent to break the horns. God always provides the right people at the right time. First came the horns, then the carpenters. God didn't provide three carpenters but four to match the four horns. He finds workers ready for the hard tasks.
Those who worry for God's church should take heart: when threats arise, God supplies the means to meet them. The church's perceived weakness isn't cause for despair. God may be nurturing the next great reformer in obscurity. He knows where to find His servants and can call forth mighty warriors at His command. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He will secure victory. Let's stay faithful to Christ, trusting He will provide defense when needed, whether in personal trials or for His Church.
Closing Prayer
God, as we end this day, help us trust You fully, even when the path isn't clear. For Your glory, Amen.
