December 27

"The Lord shall guide you." Not an angel, but God Himself will lead you. He promised not to send just an angel before His people in the wilderness, but His own presence. Moses insisted, "If Your presence doesn't go with us, don't send us from here." Christian, God hasn't left you to the guidance of angels. He leads you Himself. You may not see a pillar of cloud or fire, but God will never abandon you.

Notice the word "shall". It makes God's guidance certain. His promises are more dependable than any human oath. "I'll never leave you nor forsake you." And see how He guides us "continually."

We're not just guided occasionally, but have constant direction. We won't be left to wander on our own but will always hear the guiding voice of our Good Shepherd. If we stay close to Him, we'll walk the right path to our eternal home. If you face changes in life, moving to distant places, facing poverty, or suddenly gaining responsibility, don't fear. "The Lord shall guide you continually." No difficulty will trap you if you stay close to God and keep your heart warm with His love. Walking with God assures you won't stray. You have His unfailing wisdom to guide you, His unchanging love to comfort you, and His eternal power to protect you. Trust "Jehovah"—He will guide you continually.

Closing Prayer

Lord, as night falls, fill our hearts with Your love so we can share it with others. For Your glory, Amen.
