Jesus Christ is the core and essence of the covenant and is a gift to every believer. As a believer, can you grasp what you've received in Christ? In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead. Think about the word "God" and its endless majesty, then ponder "perfect man" and all His beauty.

Everything Christ possesses as God and man is yours through pure grace, passed down to be your eternal possession. As God, Jesus is all-knowing, all-present, and all-powerful. Isn't it comforting to know all these wonderful attributes are yours? Does He have power?

That power is yours to support and strengthen you, help you overcome enemies, and keep you to the end. Does He have love? Every drop of love in His heart is yours. Dive into the vast ocean of His love and declare, "It's mine." Does He have justice? This might seem severe, but it's yours too. His justice ensures that everything promised to you in the covenant of grace will be secured.

All He has as the perfect man is yours. As the perfect man, He was the Father's delight, accepted by the Most High. Believer, God's acceptance of Christ is your acceptance. Don't you know the love the Father has for a perfect Christ is the same love He has for you now?

Everything Christ did is yours. The perfect righteousness He achieved by living a sinless life and honoring the law is yours and is credited to you. Christ is in the covenant. "My God, I'm Yours—what a comfort that is! It's a blessing to know the Savior is mine! In the heavenly Lamb, I am truly happy, and my heart rejoices at the sound of His name."
