The word 'Amen' solemnly confirms what went before. Jesus is the great Confirmer, unchanging forever as 'the Amen' in all his promises. To you who struggle and carry heavy burdens, Jesus says, 'Come to me, and I will give you rest.' If you come to him, he'll affirm this in your heart. His promise will be true for you. He once said, 'The bruised reed I will not break.' So, if your heart is broken and bruised, come to him. He’ll affirm this promise in your soul, just as he has done for many others.
Christian, isn't it comforting to know that nothing spoken by Jesus has ever been retracted? His words will stand when heaven and earth pass away. Even a small part of his promise holds true. Be cautious of anyone who tries to diminish the comfort found in God's word.
Jesus is 'Yea and Amen' in all his roles. He is still the Priest who pardons and cleanses, the King who rules and defends with power, and the Prophet whose words bring hope. His blood, his righteousness—these are unwavering. Every title he holds remains true: your Husband, never leaving; your Friend, closer than a brother; your Shepherd through life's darkest moments; your Helper, Deliverer, and Strong Tower. He remains your strength, confidence, joy, and everything, your 'Yea and Amen.'
Closing Prayer
Father, as evening comes, help us trust You fully, even when the path isn't clear. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
