Do you want a home for your soul? You might ask, "How much does it cost?" The price is less than our proud human nature likes to admit: it's free. You might want to contribute, to earn your place with Christ. But you can't pay for this house because it's without price. Will you take my Master's house on an eternal lease, with nothing to pay but the love and service you offer Him forever? Will you take Jesus and live in Him? This house is furnished with everything you need and filled with riches beyond your lifetime.
Here you can have deep communion with Christ and feast on His love. The tables are laden with food for eternal life. When you're weary, you can rest in Jesus. From this house, you can see heaven itself. Do you want this home? If you're without one, you might say, "I’d love this house; but can I have it?" Yes, you can. The key is simple: "Come to Jesus." You might say, "I’m too unworthy for such a house." Don't worry; there are clothes waiting inside.
If you feel guilty and condemned, come. The house might seem too good for you, but Christ will make you worthy. He'll cleanse you, and soon you'll joyfully sing, "We dwell in Him." Believer, you're blessed to have such a dwelling. You're greatly privileged with a "strong habitation" in which you're always safe. By "dwelling in Him," you have not only a perfect, secure home but an eternal one. When this world fades, our home will endure, more lasting than stone, as eternal as God Himself, for "We dwell in Him."
Closing Prayer
Lord, as we begin this day, help us trust in You fully, even when the path seems unclear. In Jesus' name, Amen.
