The Lord Jesus shows Himself in special ways to His people. Even if Scripture were silent on this, many believers could share their own experiences as proof. They've encountered Jesus in a deep and personal way, beyond what reading or listening alone could offer. In stories of strong believers, you'll find moments where Jesus touched their souls, revealing His nature. Their joy was so great, they felt as if they were already in heaven, experiencing paradise on earth.

These special encounters with Christ bring a holy influence on a believer's heart. One result is humility. If someone boasts about spiritual experiences, claiming greatness, they've not truly met Jesus. "God lifts up the humble, but the proud are far from Him." He doesn't come close to the proud and doesn't show them His love.

Another result is happiness. In God's presence, joy abounds. Holiness naturally follows. If someone lacks holiness, they've not truly encountered Him. Some talk a lot, but actions must match words. "Don't be fooled; God isn't mocked." He won't bless the wicked. God won't reject the righteous, nor will He favor wrongdoers. Being close to Jesus brings humility, happiness, and holiness.
